Arts & Culture
Parsons has always recognized the importance of the arts and the
Parsons Area Concert Association brings outstanding international talent to the Municipal Auditorium stage several times each year. Be it a dueling grand pianos concert or an international ballet troupe, the acoustically-awesome 1,600 seat Municipal Auditorium routinely draws a crowd.
As one would expect in rural America, “Summer in the Park” is an event that provides free concerts every Thursday evening at the Seaton Family Pavilion at Forest Park. It’s a event where family and friends gather around the outdoor stage with their lawn chairs, under the stars, listening to a variety of regional performers.
Annually, visitors will also find an Arts & Crafts Show, a fine arts Downtown Art Walk, the celebration of Parsons’ railroad heritage during Katy Days, the Farm Heritage Weekend and a newly established “Balloons, Bikes, Blues and Barbeque” festival.
